I just finished reading, no DEVOURING, this book, Me Before You. I haven't read a novel in a while, sticking mainly to nonfiction lately. The library wait for this was too long so I splurged and bought my own copy at Target the other day. I spent every night since staying up much too late to keep reading. Me Before You is the love story (have an open mind) of Louisa Clarke and Will Traynor, set in a small town in England.

Louisa Clarke is an ordinary girl, living an exceedingly ordinary life: steady boyfriend, close family, who has never been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for ex-Master of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge life: big deals, extreme sports, worldwide travel, and now he's pretty sure he cannot live the way he is.

Will is acerbic, moody, and bossy but Louisa refuses to treat him with kids gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.

Be prepared to cry, and to believe in love again. Also, here's the trailer for the movie that is coming out. I now cry just watching it.

  1. Someone JUST recommended this book to me, they loved it too! I think it's a sign I have to read it now.

    1. It's so, so good. I absolutely loved it. You HAVE to read it.
