One of my favorite stops in Europe was a little town in Italy called Assisi (made famous by Francis of Assisi). Unlike Paris and London, Assisi was quaint. There were barely any cars (although lots of tourists, like everywhere we went!) and we could walk around. Set on a hill in Italy with amazing views, it was easy to see why the Franciscan monks had chosen to make this their home.
